Standard ceremonial matcha, Miyazaki, Kyushu
Most relatively affordable matchas are not only fishy and bitter tasting, but are inferior blends and summer harvests as opposed to spring harvests.
We offer an affordable and basic matcha that is of a high quality, full bodied, sweet, tasty and smooth. It’s imported directly from us straight out of Miyazaki, is shade grown, picked in early spring and comes from the well known and respected Okumidori tea plant.
For a thick tea: warm up your bowl with hot water, sieve 2,5 to 3 grams of matcha, pour 30 grams of 70 degrees water, mix everything together with your whisk until perfectly creamy and foamy. I, Hillel Lowinsky, prefer a thicker tea because when it's as delicious as our matcha, the umami leaves a creamy coating in my mouth and the flavors and aromas stick around for hours.
