We are in love with Goko and you will be too. This is a spring harvest, handpicked matcha which has been shade grown for the last six weeks prior to its harvest. The second you open up a tin of this you’ll smell strawberries and a fresh sweetness. The taste is so sweet yet has a gentle umami. In this tea you really can taste the direct quality of tencha at its best potential, it’s a light sweet umami freshness, like a slight vegetable quality but more like a light refreshing cucumber. Goko is a tea that unfolds slowly as it sits in you mouth. Enjoy. You can enjoy this tea in a variety of ways but please make sure you enjoy this tea only with water at least once so you can understand its essence. Prepare it as koicha, 2,5 grams of tea, 20 to 25 ml of water and 70 degrees Celsius.
